Brides-To-Be Attend Third Annual Charlottesville Wedding Classic

January 8, 2012

The Third Annual Charlottesville Wedding Classic was held at the Boar's Head Inn on Sunday. The event served as a one-stop shop for all wedding planning needs.

Bride-to-be Holly Turner attended the event hoping to get ideas for her special day.

"It is a little bit overwhelming, but it's also really nice to have everything in one place," said Turner.

More than 40 vendors, offering services that ranged from photography to cakes, participated in the expo this year.

"We have a vendor list. We have a preferred vendor list. We can make suggestions for them. I think, I don't know if it would be a mom, but it certainly would be a big sister," said Pat Burnette, marketing and communications manager at the Boar's Head Inn.

Eager couples also had the opportunity to attend a fashion show featuring bridal gowns and menswear.

?So far, I have only really picked a date and looked for a ceremony and reception venue. I haven't gotten to the dress yet,? said Turner.

Turner's wedding date is more than a year away, which gives her plenty of time to find the perfect fit.
