Danette Johnson, Coon Rapids, senior vice president and manager of institutional risk management at U.S. Bank, has been honored by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
Johnson was named one of the Business Journal?s Women in Business Industry Leaders honorees for 2012.
She and the other honorees were recognized during an awards lunch at the Minneapolis Hilton in downtown Minneapolis May 23.
All honorees are featured in the Women in Business special publication in the May 25 issue of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
?During her 17 years with U.S. Bank, Danette has progressed through a number of critical leadership roles in our institutional risk management organization, including supporting commercial and correspondent banking, investment banking, capital markets, insurance, manufacturing, commodities and the retail sectors,? said Elliot Jaffee, market president for U.S. Bank in the Twin Cities.
?Danette is also committed to the community and serves on the board of the Andover YMCA and volunteers for AccountAbility Minnesota.?
At U.S. Bank, Johnson manages a credit underwriting and risk management division that supports several major initiatives comprising domestic and international banking, sovereign risk, trade and project finance, credit policy administration and counter-party risk evaluation and non-lending risk evaluation and portfolio management.
Johnson is a graduate of Lake Superior College in Duluth, where she earned a degree in accounting.
She graduated in 2000 with highest honors from the Graduate School of Credit and Financial Management at Dartmouth University in Hanover, N.H.
